Dr. Organic Royal Jelly Eye Serum (review)

If you bear in mind that we use our eyes constantly, rub them when we wake up or if they're sore and blink, on average, five times a minute for about eighteen hours a day – is it any wonder that the first signs of ageing invariably show up as crow's feet and under eye wrinkles? With that in mind, a good quality eye care product is essential.
Dr. Organic Royal Jelly Eye Serum
Dr. Organic offers a range of eye creams – none with SPF, it should be pointed out, so they're only really suitable for night time use – and on test here is the “firming and regenerating” Royal Jelly serum. It claims to contain a “revolutionary epigenetic anti-ageing complex” which helps boost collagen stability, reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as puffiness and dark circles all the while promoting cell regeneration.

The main ingredient is Royal Jelly from Apis Mellifera (the European Honey Bee), which is high in amino acids, vitamins and minerals. The cream certainly feels moisturising and soothing when applied and despite being fairly light textured (and therefore quite refreshing), it's alimental so even after one use it leaves the eye area looking and feeling cared for. Also, it didn't irritate at all, even when I accidentally got it in my eyes!

After continued use I found my eye area didn't look any firmer but it does feel plump and smooth, and combined with the pleasant to use texture and non-irritating formula the Dr. Organic eye care range is definitely one to explore further (and quite the range there is too!).

From an ecological perspective the cream is vegetarian friendly (but not vegan), and is free from all forms of animal testing. Like the Dr. Organic Bioactive Skincare Body Washes the eye serums are organic, but they're not yet certified, but are made with lots of natural extracts. I also think they're well priced; under ten pounds for a decent, natural eye cream is perfectly reasonable, as far as I'm concerned, so this product gets the thumbs up from me!

Lovely texture sinks in easily
No SPF version available
Nothing horrible's included

Non-irritating formula

No animal testing
