Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream (review)

Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream
Nivea claim their new natural night cream, with argan oil and burdock fruit (both of which are organically grown), will give you “visible wrinkle reduction” with “skin regeneration” throughout the night. It is aimed at the 30+ age group, a group of people who are usually only starting to get their first fine lines and wrinkles. This isn't designed to be a hard hitting anti-ageing product then.
95% of the ingredients are of natural origin and sure enough there's nothing in the ingredients listing that would give me, or most natural beauties, anything to worry about. It's supposed to be suitable for sensitive skin and being free of parabens, colourants, silicones and mineral oils should support this claim. It is not, however, fragrance-free. It's certainly not a strong scent, but there's a definite Nivea-ness to it, which I like.

Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream
The cream itself is quite thick, as is usual for night-time moisturisers, but it still sinks into the skin well and impressively I wasn't left with any oily residue. It's certainly very nourishing; the texture is luxuriantly creamy and smooth – it feels lovely to use, and in this price bracket that is very impressive indeed.

My face looked smooth and felt plumped-up and soft. If you have oily skin you won't need to apply much at all, which makes it even better value, but apply it more generously and I'm sure this would be fine for dry skin. I didn't experience any reaction and even with continued use I didn't get any blemishes. As for the anti-ageing claim... hmm, I'm not sure, perhaps I didn't notice any effects because I'm not in the recommended age bracket (30+). Yet!

In my opinion it's just a really good moisturiser, and that's no bad thing. It's particularly heartening to see big name companies such as Beiersdorf, Nivea's parent, explore the natural market. With products as good value and effective as this, it can only be a step in the right direction. Please note that at the moment you can only buy this product at Boots (although the rest of the Pure & Natural range, such as the Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Facial Cleansing Wipes, are available elsewhere).

  3. I'm 37years old and I love it. I have an allergy and I cannot use for example Nivea Q10 as I'll have to "cry" all day long, but with Nivea pure and natural anti wrinkle I never had any problems. I have no wrinkles as well, but I think this depends on the tipe of the skin. I would happily recommended this product.

    1. I've heard lots of good reports like this - I'm glad you like it. While Nivea may not be fancy, you can normally rely on them to deliver the goods!

  4. Nivea products are good but they are bit on the thick and greasy side makes my skin too oily after application. I think instead of relying on the claims of anti-wrinkle creams it’s better to choose Botox Cambridge for the treatment of lines and wrinkles which give safe and effective results for every skin type.
