Make-At-Home Cosmetics: Skin-Brightening Lemon Face Mask (tutorial)

Lemons © HandmadePictures - fotolia.com

This zesty multi-purpose mask tightens and stimulates whilst also providing antiseptic action through the addition of skin-whitening lemon. Whilst the lemon might be too much for sensitive skin, it is perfect for oily skin and leaves a comfortable, clean feeling. I just love the amazingly fresh feeling it leaves behind. Just don’t use it on broken, irritable or inflamed skin.

Ingredients
One egg
One lemon

Utensils
Small bowl
Whisk

Method
Separate the egg, keeping only the white for use in this face mask. With the egg in the bowl, add a few drops of the lemon juice and whisk together. Apply with a brush, your fingertips, being careful to avoid the eyes and mouth. Relax for fifteen minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
