Purity Organic Skincare Anti-Ageing Serum & Mask (review)

Purity Anti-Ageing Serum & Mask
Purity is a multi-award winning organic skincare range made in Britain. I've already tried the Purity Organic Skincare Facial Wash which was impressive so I have high hopes for their mask, too.

"A powerful boost to your skin's natural processes. [It's] designed to improve and protect the look and feel of your skin."

It does this with cranberry seed oil, which contains omegas 3, 6 and 9 to help maintain skin moisture levels. The addition of rose water is good for toning while vitamin E aids anti-oxidant activity.

This mask should, in theory, work in just ten minutes. Interestingly, you can also use it as a leave-on treatment. You simply skip rinsing or wiping it off and let it sink in overnight. I really wanted to try this but after application it started drying and even with a thick layer it got too tight and felt a little uncomfortable. After 25 minutes I decided to wash it off and stick with my regular night products instead.

Purity Organic Anti-Ageing Serum & Mask
As a ten minute rinse-off mask, though, it's pleasant to use. I wiped mine off with a facial sponge and water but you can tissue if off if you prefer. And the results? A little noticeable toning, perhaps, but little else. My face and neck don't feel any different even after repeated uses but my face is a little smoother looking.

It's not a great pampering mask, though, as it's fragrance-free yet it has a strange aroma. I noticed it with the face wash as well – I assumed it was off but maybe that's how non-perfumed products smell? Weird. The gloopy texture doesn't appeal, either, it's a slimy feeling product which kept slipping off my hands, but it stays put once on.

From a natural point of view Purity is hard to beat. Not only are 98% of the total ingredients in this face mask natural, but 95% are certified organic by EcoCert, too. It is also vegan friendly and is, of course, free from mineral oils, genetically modified ingredients, silicones and parabens. The packaging is recyclable and Purity do not support animal testing.

The only thing major issue is the price. It's more than three times the price of Dr. Organic's Manuka Honey Face Mask yet it's not three times as good.  In fact I'd say they were as effective as each other. Saying that, though, I'm sure Purity's mask will still appeal to a lot of people who are willing to pay extra for that additional purity.

Sensitive skin types will like it
A bit... bland
Extremely ecological
It's unfragranced but still smells odd

  1. Aging is really very irritating problem. I have personally used different anti-aging beauty products but most of them didn’t give good results. My take is to go with dna repair cream for the best results.
