Natio Gentle Cleansing Wipes (review)

Natio Gentle Cleansing Wipes

I really liked both Natio products I've tried so far: the Ageless Advanced Lifting and Firming Serum is a five-star product, and the Moisturising SPF 30 Lip Balm is faultless (I still use it to this day). This encouraged me to explore the rest of the range, and that bought me to this rather expensive pack of face cleansing wipes.

They retail at around £5.60 here in the U.K. (they're $10.95 in their Australian homeland which is about £5.80) and you only get twenty four wipes per pack making each wipe about £0.23 each. This makes them costlier than even the best genuinely natural face wipes on the market, which I don't think they can justify.

It's not even as if they're the most natural wipes around (they're not even organic) and they do contain parabens, but are not tested on animals which balances things out somewhat. The packaging is excessive, though. You don't need a cardboard box as well as thick plastic packaging. There's no word on biodegradability, either.

Natio Gentle Cleansing Wipes
The wipes are made with green tea, chamomile and copious amounts of essential oils. They're designed to “leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and radiant” and “reveal a younger looking complexion”. They're incredibly smooth feeling, and do leave skin feeling cared for while cleaning oil and light make-up away gently.

While the wipes aren't especially big, they are thick and strong so can be used effectively over the entire face and neck without any hint of shredding. Even men with stubble can use them without fear of being covered in fluff. I would prefer them a little more moist, though, especially at this price.

The market for face cleansing wipes is so vast that you really have to offer something special to stand out. Natio's wipes are a pleasure to use, but ultimately feel overpriced. The Yes To range is more impressive, more natural, more affordable but less luxurious. If luxury is your priority, give Natio's version a try, otherwise I'd look elsewhere.

What we would change...
  • Improve value with either a price reduction or larger pack
  • Cut out parabens from the formula – there are better alternatives
  • Dump the excess packaging; the outer box is unnecessary

Cleanse face gently and effectively
Too expensive
Free of mineral oils
Contain parabens
Smooth, soft and thick wipes
Excess of packaging
Luxurious, high quality look and feel
